Mexico’s judicial reform overhauling the nation’s courts, which will allow voters to elect judges, formally took impact on Sunday (September 15, 2024) after the textual content of the constitutional adjustments was printed within the authorities gazette.

The reforms mark a significant legislative victory in President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador’s ultimate weeks in workplace.
