The Kerala State Chalachitra Academy has introduced the record of movies for the Worldwide Competitors part of the twenty ninth Worldwide Movie Pageant of Kerala (IFFK), to be held in December this 12 months.

The chosen works are Chilean movie An Oscillating Shadow, directed by Celeste Rojas Mugica; Egyptian movie East of Midday, directed by Hala Elkoussy; Turkish movie Elbow, directed by Asli Ozarslan; Brazilian movie Malu, directed by Pedro Freire; Iranian movie Me, Maryam, the kids and 26 others, directed by Farshad Hashemi; Costa Rican movie Recollections of a Burning Physique, directed by Antonella Sudasassi Furniss; Brazilian movie Notary of Souls, directed by Leo Bello; Chilean movie The Hyperboreans, directed by Cristóbal León and Joaquín Cociña; Argentinian movie Underground Orange, directed by Michael Taylor Jackson; and Tunisian movie Who Do I Belong To, directed by Meryam Joobeur.

The movies have been chosen by a committee headed by movie critic P.Ok.Surendran and consisting of filmmakers Shruthi Sharanyam and Arun Karthik, screenwriter Sajeev Pazhoor and movie society activist Reji M. Damodaran.

The Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, the primary organisers of the pageant, had earlier introduced The Rhythm of Dammam, a Konkani/Kannada movie directed by Jayan Cherian, and Physique, a Hindi movie directed by Abhijit Mazumdar because the Indian movies, and Feminichi Fathima, directed by Fasil Muhammed, and Appuram, directed by Indu Lakshmi because the Malayalam movies within the Worldwide Competitors part.
